“...you’re gonna have to serve somebody” Bob Dylan (1941,)

There are numerous carbon monoxide poisoning circumstances posted  on this web site that result in pleas for carbon monoxide alarm  laws at the local, state, provincial or national level. These requests are often met with resistance armor that contains arguments from the anti-law/anti-government realm, to lobbyists ranting about  the burdensome cost to landlords. Common sense would seem to suggest that a reasonable caution exercised by an adult would be to purchase alarm protection for fire and carbon monoxide incidences.

However,  there are very reasonable people who would not have obtained a carbon monoxide alarm unless there was a law or an ordinance. We are kind of missing the fact that carbon monoxide alarms save lives and with accurate detection can reduce unneeded health care costs, absenteeism, dementia and a host of other detriments. Who is responsible for the air you breathe? Please be a part of carbon monoxide poisoning prevention and help raise awareness. Bob Dwyer, CSME Carbon Monoxide Safety.
