Please note that many articles posted recommend you have your furnaces checked & serviced before using them. However, they fail to mention that all furnaces should have a combustion analysis test and adjustment to prevent the furnace from producing dangerous levels of carbon monoxide. All the other stuff mentioned is important but failure to detect the production of carbon monoxide is avoidable. Carbon monoxide is a hazard if an appliance is producing it at levels that are harmful and inefficient.
