Let’s get those heating systems tuned up and checked for proper performance and efficiency. If you don’t have it tested thoroughly, you may be taking a risk that is avoidable and puts yourself and others in jeopardy of injury or worse.

Your contracted or provided technician or boiler engineer must have all their test instruments calibrated and with sensors up to date and working.

Testing for carbon monoxide generation within the system and within the air of your dwelling should be performed. Their work is not complete unless they test the system thoroughly and verify the manufacturer measureable points of reference; every system has them.

Replace batteries in smoke and carbon monoxide alarms. Make sure you have a CO alarm that doesn’t wait until you are sick before it alerts you.
