CO alarm standards - When do they sound off?

My thanks goes out to those that hosted and attended  my Carbon Monoxide Safety training programs in Colorado Springs, Colorado this week. The recent tragedy in your community once again sent out an alarm to residents that carbon monoxide threats are nothing to be cavalier about. The poison is bigger and stronger than any ego on the planet. Get an alarm that alerts you to the hazard before you begin to feel the symptoms.

Winter weather is coming or here already in the northern climates. Get those furnaces and all interior combustion systems tested for carbon monoxide generation and have them tuned up by certified and the continually trained heating technician. You must make sure they have the proper testing instruments to complete the task successfully, otherwise, they are ripping you off, perhaps leaving you and/or your family in danger.

Do not be fooled or lulled into complacence. Carbon Monoxide is a clear and present danger.
Bob Dwyer, CSME Carbon Monoxide Safety.
