Carbon monoxide alarms
Read the information on the packaging and the instructions that come with the carbon monoxide alarms you purchase. They must give you the test points for the concentrations of carbon monoxide they were tested and listed for. I am looking at one now that indicates it was tested at 70, 150 and 400 PPM of carbon monoxide. There are required time periods these alarms must resist alarming at these concentrations.

The concentration of CO over 70 PPM and under 150 PPM of CO for example, has the same time period of restraint the alarm must adhere to if the manufacturer wants to meet the listing requirement. Over 150 and under 400 PPM it has another time constraint before alarming. Over 400 PPM it has another time constraint before it must alarm. Please read the information the manufacturer provides with your Carbon Monoxide alarm.
