How much carbon monoxide are you in when in any motor vehicle?
Did you know that many people do not measure the air they live in?
After prevention there is no greater awareness than measurement.
Awareness leads to quick thinking. Measurement leads to quick action.
Are you in the know?
Do I know enough about carbon monoxide and carbon monoxide poisoning to justify never knowing how much is in the air I breathe every day, everywhere I go?”
There are some people who want to be notified of the presence of carbon monoxide at levels or concentrations as soon as the gas is present, at concentrations well below those that can instigate poor health symptoms but not be high enough levels to sound the CO alarm they own.
There are some people who do not want to push a button on their CO alarm to see what low, aggravating levels of the poison might be in their home, or anywhere.

Lethal carbon monoxide is often mistaken for the flu warn experts
Bexhill Observer
Leading carbon monoxide awareness campaign, Project SHOUT and medical expert Dr. Ellie Cannon are warning Hastings and Rother residents of dangers of carbon monoxide poisoning following Public Health England’s recent flu warning… Carbon monoxide (CO) is an invisible odourless, colourless gas and experts believe that many more cases are going undiagnosed as people mistake symptoms for cold and flu...
Victims in Elsmere carbon monoxide poisoning laid to rest

His family's handprints pressed into his concrete vault lid will last well beyond the 60 years Carl Timothy Dunfee had to share with the people he loved… But he should have had more time, family members said Monday. "This shouldn't have happened. My kids are never going to be able to play baseball or football in front of him. My daughter is never going to be able to dance for him again," said Samantha Dunfee, daughter of the man known by his family as "Timmy."
Firefighters advise Somerton residents to sweep their chimneys after Gassons Lane fire
Western Gazette
A spokesman for Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service said: "A gas fire had been lit and the fire ignited bird nestling materials within the chimney flue. Fortunately the fire was contained in the flue so there was no fire damage to the roof space… "We evacuated the next door property to be safe after carbon monoxide was detected using a gas monitor, but no-one was harmed.”

A panel of ocean scientists says carbon dioxide emissions are rapidly altering ocean chemistry
The Republic
SEATTLE — Global carbon dioxide emissions are rapidly altering ocean chemistry along the West Coast and urgent regional action is needed, … a panel of ocean scientists said in a report released Monday… The group warned that failing to respond to ocean acidification, which comes from added carbon absorbed by oceans, will have widespread negative ecological consequences for the West Coast…
Cutting carbon dioxide emissions should be a priority says climate change scientist
Oxford Mail
Prof Allen, who has contributed to the Intergovernmental Panel of Climate Change, said projects such as the £18 billion Hinkley Point C nuclear power station could be counter-productive… He said: "If you spend stupidly now and reduce economic growth, you impair the ability of future generations to pay to get emissions to zero… "They will need to pay for carbon dioxide disposal. It is time to divert some of our less productive subsidies into CO2 disposal." … “unless the cost of carbon capture and disposal is brought below $200/tonne of carbon dioxide, then stabilising temperatures below 2 degrees Celsius will require "truly heroic levels of self-sacrifice by future generations"…
China's Carbon Emissions May Have Already Peaked: How This Could Impact Global Efforts
Tech Times
If China is able to curb the emissions of its main greenhouse gas, carbon dioxide, over a decade before the original deadline, its success can provide much-needed energy to the global efforts aimed at meeting the 2-degree Celsius consensus. This preindustrial level is deemed a challenging task; however, it is critical to curbing the devastating effects of unchecked climate change… China's success will result in more pressure on other nations, especially on the United States, to meet its own climate change reversal goals. It can also result in the creation of more ambitious goals…

The nutrient values of food could also be at risk due to higher levels of carbon dioxide… Protein content and important minerals in crops may diminish; carbohydrates and sugars could increase in plants because, with more carbon dioxide, plants need less protein for photosynthesis. Those increased amounts of carbohydrates could then crowd out natural mineral nutrients… Arnold Bloom, a professor of plant sciences at the University of California at Davis, explained that he and other researchers have already seen evidence that wheat is being altered by rising carbon dioxide levels…

We have all been CO poisoned, some more than others
The following link takes you to a site with views from those who have been poisoned. The seriousness of carbon monoxide poisoning, the grief, suffering and disorientations experienced are clearly portrayed with the intent to help others and prevent future poisonings. With respect, please visit:
What is in the air you are breathing right now?
What will you be doing today; walking into poison?
Who will be responsible for the air you breathe?
You may be the only person who can prevent your own poisoning.
We are all vulnerable to carbon monoxide exposure and poisoning.
Everyone has been poisoned by CO and will be poisoned again. The degree of the poisoning depends upon allowing yourself to be in a situation where someone else controls the air you breathe and the mechanisms for alarming notification.
Please read the alarm information on the package and in the instructions that come with the carbon monoxide alarm. Know that if it is a U.L. 2034 Listed product (or CSA 6.19 Listed), it is a high level alarm that has been tested to alarm no sooner than 70 PPM at the lowest (the alarm must resist for one hour when above this level) and when over 400 PPM before 15 minutes at the highest concentration, after resisting alarming for 4 minutes when over this level.
Know when your fire department and emergency responders begin wearing their breathing apparatus and what their civilian evacuation levels are for carbon monoxide; it may be as soon as the gas is present in your presence. Pregnant women, infants & children, people with heart & respiratory struggles, those suffering depression or chronic headaches and all people of vulnerable health should be alerted as soon as the gas begins to concentrate, around 10 PPM (parts per million) or lower.
You most likely need a low level carbon monoxide detector to sound off when carbon monoxide hazards are just beginning, not after you’ve been exposed to levels that make you have headaches, flu-like symptoms, increased tiredness, heart stresses or worse.
Do not take risks with carbon monoxide. Take responsibility for the air you breathe and the combustion systems you are responsible for. If you don’t do it for yourself, do it for others, unless you think $45.00, high level protection is good enough.
Help prevent injuries and deaths; don’t guess about carbon monoxide. Measure carbon monoxide for safety and knowledge. The more you test the more you learn. GET BUSY
